Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I think this occurs because of the new fonts. Try changing your fonts to "Normalized" in the options menu.
I do not see those fancy fonts for character names. I saw screenshot, so I know what they should look like.
I have tried in Options both ways for the font setting.
I play on Linux, Ubuntu 24.4. Patched v0.18.2 to v0.19 and started a new game.
