very nice work regarding the reworked yorta scene.

however, i have encountered an issue.  it might have originated last patch, but this patch it actually causes me performance issues.  something is going wrong with the lighting.

in the afternoon, clouds gathered, and it began to rain.  once the cloud cover reached maximum, everything that is not world geometry was lit as if in full brightness.  the world geometry continued to be properly lit by the environment.

this tanked my FPS.  generally, i restrict the FPS to my monitor's refresh rate and never really dip under that.  this effect brought me down to 1-2 FPS in places, and struggled at ~30-45 when looking straight down at my feet.

The problem might be in the lighting. You may try changing Lighting Refresh Rate in the settings to higher values, this may help. Also you can try changing Lighting Refresh Speed to Low/Very Low.

thanks for the guidance, will give it a shot later.

changing shadows from high to medium seems to have solved the FPS issues.  i did briefly get fullbright lighting on "props," but that went away after the newly expanded lighting delay...  which i then promptly returned to 01.

I'm glad to hear that!
