I enjoyed the game overall, it was a very fun concept and tie in between cats and dogs. Especially the making biscuits as a cat animation was very fun. The audio was nice and on theme, felt like it made sense, though there could have been too much barking? Maybe not, i was in the zone.

I did seem to encounter a rounding bug i assume where the cost was 11, i seemed to have 11 but i couldn't buy the upgrade (until i had more biscuits, then it worked.

Overall i had fun, but here are some ideas on how to improve! I would like a better distinction between waves, i thought i was still in the tutorial or wave 1 but then i look up and it was wave 5. I didn't realize this was a health is currency type game until I died, so having this mechanic be more clear in the tutorial, maybe a dog comes up and there are no defense, takes biscuit and animated health going down. when i died i just restarted which felt rash, would be nice for it to be more of a pause - oh no u died, try again, type thing

Lastly, i liked the kneading biscuits type thing to make the currency and i like that is was a spend the biscuits, get low on health but go upgrade to be stronger, but i did not really enjoy the kneading minigame after 20 seconds. something more dynamic would be fun! very chill tower defense, nice work team!

Thank you so much for leaving us such detailed feedback! Not being able to spend all of your biscuits was intentional- we didn't want the player to be able to spend all of their dough themselves and cause a game over. We definitely need to rework the tutorial to make the hp = currency mechanic more clear.  I also really appreciate the feedback on the minigame - we went back and forth a TON the first half of the jam about how difficult to make it. We wanted to thread the needle of it being fun to play, while not taking your attention so far away from the tower defense aspect that it feels unfair or purposefully hard to play. All in all we have our fair share of stuff to fix in the post jam patch, but I'm glad you were able to enjoy the game and get in the zone anyway!

Ah i see, in that case. i think it could make more sense where you could go to 0 biscuits, but if the dog comes while you have 0 biscuits you insta-die, but i could see it going either way. as for the minigame, i think it would feel more enjoyable overall if you had to do minigame to start the baking process (maybe 3 to 5 seconds) then it auto baked cookies for an additional period of time so the player can go do other things, spend resources, repair, or you could look to add in other things for the player to do. on top of that the mini game could have varying difficulty for that short period of time, resulting in lower or higher amounts of cookies baked.

still fun and nice work!
