How does the game fit the theme?
When playing as an ant you have to make decisions, if you want to sprint even though it will cost you biscuits or if you want to go back even if you won't be able to turn back. The game has certain parts where the player has to think if the loss will be worth the reward
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Used certain open source codes for certain parts, followed a few YouTube tutorials - generation, menus, enemy. All visual assets made from scratch. Font - tinypixel

I like the game concept a lot, it's simple but really effective! I got to about 2000 points before I decided to sprint and then got jump scared by the silhouette of a shoe. The game seemed far too easy at the beginning: I had to advance a LOT before encountering my first ever shoe and even then I think I might have only triggered it because I sprinted for the first time in my playthrough. This feels like it's either a bug or bad luck, but either way it doesn't feel intentional and should maybe adjusted to balance the game. But, other than that, I really enjoyed playing this, great work!
I love surprising attacks; you will not know when you end.
Visuals are very beautiful !!
pretty alright.
Very enjoyable. I love a good ant theme. There are times where RnG will really kick your tail (or stomp you when no leaves lol) My top score in 508 atm
The opening animation was super fun too
The game is very creative! The game play flow were very well worked, a simple idea but an enjoyable game!
This was very cute, will be recommending to my ant obsessed brother haha.
I like the game as its easy to play. I like the concept. very good potential. nice groundwork for further development.
nice and complete game! the gameloop is there, funny little effects and a nice story. The art is great, I felt like I was punished by RNG at some point for no more anthills appearing at all so that was sad. Otherwise a fun entry that you could extend!
A really simple but effective game loop, I enjoyed the risk factor a lot and the combination of sprinting = less cookies. Not sure why the R to turn back was necessary. The style was nice and fitted the game well. Keep it up!
The R was supposed to be a big part of the game honestly i centered it around the turn back mechanic but later on I realized it wasn't really necessary nor fun but decided to keep it, Thank you <3
I really like the art style of this. I also really liked the mechanic of hiding under the leaves or getting squashed. The panic when you see the shadow of the boot was real!
Nice game. Mine is also about ants. I got 6,388. I really like the art, and it was overall fun. Great job!
Great mind think alike or should i say ants haha
Fun game with a charming art style. The intro added a nice touch! Kept pushing the ant too far—definitely risky business
Great art style, especially the intro sequence. Fun challenge to collect as many biscuits as you can!
This is some crisp sprite work. I'm a big sucker for ants, and games where you get to play as small things, so I expected I would enjoy this when I saw the thumbnail.
I'd like to know if this has an actual ending, or whether its an endless runner. I never managed to make it further than the jelly filled biscuits.
First I wanted to make it kind of level based and it maybe would've had an ending but i just ran out of time and decided to make it an endless runner really hope you liked it nonetheless <3
This is awesome!
Amazing!!!
That's so flipping cute! Big fan of your artistic choices <3 I'd love to make something that neat.
Thank you! <3 But i think you already make really neat work
awww thx <3
