the notes got really discordant at times which I see was done to fit the lore, but it doesn’t feel very “festival” to me.
The percussion being samples of fireworks however does feel very festival to me and was an excellent addition.

Yeah, I guess I can see your point in that it doesn't sound like . . . I dunno, I did consider scrapping it for a more circusy feel at one point, but I was already far along. I was trying to capture a happyish vibe because festivals are supposed to be fun, yeah? But, it's also meant to sound like a corruption of that.
