that moment was really central to the whole idea of the comic. I wanted to capture that absolute panic and the type of desperation that I felt was true to ford's actions, when it comes to siding with bill over fiddleford. it isn't his true feelings- it's a matter of survival, of winning back someone he feels indebted to, whose affections and attention are entirely conditional... but you can imagine the guilt he'll feel for years to come, regardless.
