still the specific moment that really gets me, as i imagine is the same for most people, is whenever bill turns into fiddleford and ford immediately starts saying literally Anything that he thinks might get bill to back off. it really just makes me feel ill especially in the way he words it alongside his stressed out body language. its exactly how it feels in the moment and really kind of not only captures the panic of that situation but the awful feeling of having to just say whatever about people you sincerely care about out of self defense. and how it makes nothing better but just less Worse in that one moment. and yet pushes you just further and further into the hands of the person shoving you into this. really, theres no good solution...
and him waking up next to fiddleford in the morning and him being such a stark difference to bill. captures that same difference of energy in the book of bill while still instilling some dread for the viewer that KNOWS whats going to come. its fucked up. in a good way, of course. the way he looks at him just after he'd watched his image get stolen specifically to scare him into submission too just looking so so sad like Fuuuuuuuuuuucukkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
