I don't know how I missed those first time. Actually I think I spotted one, but I tried on the map and didn't see any and think I was then just a bit impatient. I see them now, if you drop the wait time so they are visible quicker I think that'd help.

Aye - Maybe you could start with a shorter time (e.g. 0.5s) and then lengthen by a wee bit after X tooltips are shown? I remember that many strategy games have the 'hide these notifications' style controls, but the player has to do that each time they play a new game. So the problem is a very real one that even AAA studios don't get right.
Yeah it's definitely tricky. I really enjoy the nested tooltips popularized in recent paradox games. Let's you go as far down the rabbithole as you like.
Thanks for the idea! I think completely revamping the tooltip system goes against the spirit of the game jam but I just decreased the timer a fair bit. :)
