Heya, I leave detailed feedback on every game I play so hope this isn't daunting. Just leaving my thoughts as I played:

  • I love the mechanics!
  • I notice that when holding down block to kill the exploding bat, even once you've killed the bat, you can still die if you don't block for a few more seconds after it dies. I think you should not die once the bat dies, as it makes it feel like an unfair death, and especially the first time I was confused as to how I died this way.
  • I think the game could really use some sort of lives system, as it is very unforgiving, or at least the option for players who aren't into this genre some leeway to at least progress.
  • I think holding S to throw takes a little too long, and maybe it's a personal taste but I would have expected the throw to happen when I pressed the button, rather than a keydown action, so that the game flows more fluidly and also get immediate feedback on my actions rather than being unsure whether I threw or not, especially when there are sequenecs where it gets fast paced!

However, I must say this game got me playing a little more than I expected as it makes you want to go a little further each time to try and master the game. I also enjoyed being a little 'Captain America', which was fun.

Overall, the audio and color palette were well chosen! It made the game definitely a visual standout amongst the game I've played, so good job on that!

Thank you very much for your feedback!

  • Yeah the explosion thing, you die because it didn't make sense to walk into the explosion so we decided to make it this way. I understand that it annoys most people but it was an intentional decision.
  • The game is very hard and probably 2% of the players have finished it 😅
  • I get you on the shield, but it was way too easy if you didn't have to hold it. We could probably adjust the timing with the jump better, but I totally understand your point.

No problem! I think it being hard definitely has its appeal so I would also agree on your points!
