i totally understand, a weird idea is maybe, when you interact with the laser, your mouse becomes the target. I don't know if that will work but could be interesting
Because of the extra fixing bugs grace period, I actually ended up greatly speeding up the lasers! They are a lot faster, and hopefully that's a good fix.
