Quite fun game! 

The upgrade system forcing you to always take a debuff is very interesting  but all to often I was wishing I could take none of them. The shooters are the enemies to look out for as they can not be kited in the same way as the melee enemies.

The music gets repetitive fast but otherwise works well to reinforce the somewhat stressful atmosphere of the game.

I appreciate your thoughts and feedback! Yeah I only wish I could think up more risk/reward cards for variety, but not wanting to pick any of the risks means I achieved my design goal :)

We were in a similar situation with our card game but we eventually decided to give in and gave the player a reroll option. Maybe we could have been meaner 🤣

I somehow never even considered a reroll option haha. That wouldn’t have been a bad idea.
