Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 8! My name's Hythrain, a co-host and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!

So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.

A fun little delivery game, but there are definitely some problems to it. For starters, switching from planet to planet can be way too accurate. If you're just slightly off when you jump, you're considered to not make it to the planet when you probably should.  This, combined with tight timers, makes the game feel very difficult very quickly. I'd get timers giving me such short windows that I couldn't spend the time to ensure I was lining up my jumps perfectly.

In addition, if a planet is slightly too far (yet you can see it on the edge of the screen, the game doesn't consider these jumps valid either)

What I'd recommend is creating a sort of safety net for each world, where you can be a bit outside of a direct line with touching that world yet "gravity" will pull you to it. This would make the shorter timers work out a lot better as now players don't need to be as perfectly accurate.

Hello and thank you for taking time to play my game. I would love too see the VOD so please share it when you can 😄

that’s a good way of approaching each game. And I’ll start by saying I’m glad you found it fun even with the games difficulty settings as they are. I keep hearing a lot about the planet jumping system so it’s something I definitely need to look into.

Even something as simple as a “safety net” like you suggested, which would be very easy to implement would make players feel the game is less… harsh. If and when I add more to this game it will be the first thing I look to add.

Once again thanks for playing and I appreciate your feedback :)
