Well, if you never let bro drive the ship again, at least let bro make music more, or should I say you :D.
Your choice of sounds it quite unexpected with some accordion and that Duduk(?) in the main melody of the first song. But it also fitted your vision more than well and beautifullly. While both songs file quite atmospheric, I would really loved for you to only work on one of both songs. Both songs are just hauntingly beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I think having those two songs cut each song a bit short and did it some disservice. There is a tone of ambiance in there that just gets a bit subdued to the more adventurous feeling of the songs. Lending one of them more time, letting them breathe more and giving them also a more quieter moment would have granted you a better outcome. Which does not mean that those songs you’ve written are bad, quite the contrary. I this this just would have made them fit more into the ambiance aspect more.
Also, like Turtle mentioned, there is something weird going on with the low end. Maybe it is just a to hard pumping compressor in the master that isn’t filtered well enough. For most compressors these days there is an option to either low cut the sensing signal for the compression or filter the incoming signal via side chain. Compressors are more prone to squashing the signal the lower the pitch. So having a loud bass in combination with other frequencies tends to over compress the whole signal except the pass. Possible solutions could also be to EQ your signal before hitting the compressor.
