I haven't planned for that. I have so many requests of random NPCs joining the party from my patrons I might have to do something like that in ACT2.
When or how is the gallery unlocked?
The gallery is in the western part of the crossroads where the event plays with the pirates (before Gloomy Forest). They appear there automatically once you've found the event, on the posters.

where did the pirate fox go after the cutscene ended, also where did the knight from the townhall key quest go
Sword went to Shiptown which is not in the public version and the pirates to the beach cave which is still under construction in patreon version.
