Was watching a stream last night with Andy Walker, an 8-bit developer from the 80s who brought up an old C64 sheepdog game as one of the worst games he's played. Got me wondering if it had ever been done properly and came across your game.

It's very well done, are you going to pick it up again at some point? No judgement here, I have too many paused projects to count!

The sheep behaviour is great, they respond as you'd expect, they herd together or wander off randomly on their own just the right amount.

Hi there, thanks for commenting.

I'll have to find that stream you mentioned, I had a C64 back in the day but I don't remember a sheepdog game - would love to see it.

In terms of picking up Too Many Sheep, it's my 4th version of this game so there's a very good chance I'll pick it up again but maybe in a slightly different form as I build up my skills.

The other three versions have been called "Sheep Game" the first two are no longer available, as they were Flash games back around 2000 / 2001. But the third version of the game is on Itch and Steam.

I'll be sure to swing by here and comment once a new version is available.
