Since Persian is my native language, I always felt a little sad growing up that so few games included Persian subtitles or representation. Adding it to my own project was really important to me, almost like giving back to that younger version of myself who wished to see his own language in games.
You’re also right that the game leans more toward a psychological experience than pure fear, I wanted the focus to be on guilt, regret, and atmosphere rather than just jump scares.
