Thank you for this HD remake! Happyland Adventures is a part of my childhood, and this remake is pretty good.

However, there are three things I noticed that don't sit well with me:

  1. Old men should turn in the player character's direction, but they're currently always facing to the right. This is a minor nitpick, but…
  2. While the addition of sliding (and switches) in summer levels is appreciated, the slide mechanic currently doesn't work properly. Not only am I unable to slide while running left or right—I have to let go and quickly press "Down" on my controller—but unless I'm on ice, I only slide for a fraction of a second, making it almost impossible to knock enemies over.
  3. Blue spheres haven't been added to summer levels, unlike the other mechanics that were winter-exclusive in the original.

Please fix these for the next update, and thanks again for this HD remake.

Have you tried connecting third-party levels?

I have so far come to the understanding that in order to add third-party levels to the game, they need to be distributed into folders. In each folder, you need to add a file indicating the order of the levels (first the main ones, then the bonus ones).

Then you need to show this file to the converter and it will recode this group of levels and add it to the game.

I found it inconvenient that there are no instructions. I understood the above by studying my collection of levels from the old version of the game.

But, overall, a decent port. I still hoped that the author of the original game would do something similar. But the author of the original made a re-release only for his shooters. And this game does not exist. So when I accidentally found a mention of this port, it was great.
