The art/music and overall atmosphere you guys created is very nice

Just wondering, how did you create the corrupted ground and its cleanup effect? Are you just removing tiles from a tilemap and updating surrounding tiles, or something else?

The corruption effect is indeed on a tilemap layer, I used the 'marching squares' algorithm to update the tiles around the edges and keep the shapes looking good.
