This was great! Love the title art and intro.  It really adds to the experience and makes the fakeout especially funny!

I love the subtle details put into this! The devlogs were really funny. There was clearly a lot of work put into characters, passports, etc, and while the runtime is was fairly short, there is definitely some replay value, and some blink-and-you'll-miss-it references!

I like the star system and how it tells you what you did wrong. Maybe I'm now delirious from playing 60 games but I remember myself being better at Papers Please 😅It does definitely seem quite mechanically deep, to the point where this could be expanded into something bigger - though also quite nice that it doesn't outstay it's welcome.

Sergei would be proud - well done!

Thanks for playing!

Papers, Please is a game I loved a decade (maybe more now) ago and I got pretty far back then, but I absolutely can't handle it now, so maybe it's not just you. It's interesting that you like how the star system/end screen works, because when Lucas Pope was creating Papers, Please he found that you really needed instant feedback. Maybe it works here because the levels are shorter and simpler.

There's definitely room to expand this, it'll probably never happen, but although there's a fair bit of jank in the code it would be pretty trivial to add more levels.
