A good entry, the vibe works as well. It feels quite a lot like Werewolf. I encountered a few bugs though; when the player offers to help, it seems you can accidentally click other buttons while that dialogue is up, so you can end up observing someone, not see the results of the observation and lose time with it as well. As mentioned by other people, the movement is a bit slow, but I also found the camera rotation felt a bit weird as well. Normally you would track the mouse's position on the screen and use that to rotate the character for first person movement.
All in all, a lot accomplished in a short time. Nice work!
Good game. The movements were a little slow to me. But I like the sound effects. The people talking reminded me of Charlie Brown, where the adults make a sound and not word. I like that. Very good.
Solid gameplay and rules. The movement speed is too slow for my taste, if this wasn't the case I'd be more open to play more but as it is I just can't.
Solo Town Of Salem I like it. Good Job!
There are some areas that could use improvement, especially in terms of consistency and pacing. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the overall concept and think the game has a lot of potential thanks to its charming visual style.
I really like the concept and art sytle!
Fun game. Interesting Concept. I could See the Inspiration from among us
you should try to play mafia, in person among us
I do occasionally actually.
Sadly, on my first playthrough I got stuck on this screen (image), but after reloading the game everything worked fine and I was able to continue normally.
At first, I felt a bit confused about what I needed to do, but once I understood the mechanics the gameplay flowed smoothly. The art style really stood out to me, it has a very charming and cozy atmosphere, yet there’s also a subtle eeriness to it that gives the game a unique mood. The contrast between comfort and unease makes the experience memorable. Overall, it’s a solid and enjoyable entry. You should definitely be proud of what you’ve created!
Thank you for the review. I'm glad the vibe of the game got through even if it is somewhat unfinished😁 .
First thing I noticed when playing was that I really like the art style of the characters, it's very charming and made it easy to enjoy interacting with them. The concept of the gameplay is smart, I like it a lot and find that there is a lot of potential in them.
I'd say that there can be improvements to the meeting phase of a day, there were times where what they would say contradicts their dialogue after the "ask for info" option. One time one of the NPCs said that we should keep an eye on the Father, then in the ask for info he said that the Father was acting fine. The movement speed of the player is also too slow, there wasn't really anything to run from or something and it was a bit inconvenient to talk to the other NPCs given how long it took to reach them.
Other than that, I enjoy the overall concept and enjoyed the game. I see a lot of potential with it's visual design, given that the current direction is already charming!
Thank you for the review. You're absolutely right about the contradiction part some parameters are conflicting with each other. I'm glad you liked the art. I had to make it in the last 2 hours of the jam, great to hear it turned out good 😁.
2 hours is incredibly impressive and I commend you!
This is a brilliant game. It's really atmospheric, and the gameplay concept is fun. I love the eerie vibe. Accusing and defending the villagers is a great mechanic. Be proud dude, this is a great game.
Glad you enjoyed it 😀
