Very good. It moved a little too fast for me. I think if the land moved just a little slower, it would've been fine. I like the character and the art style is really cool. But done very well.

Developer

I think you didn't reach the actual game XD

Wasn't able to get all the way to the end. The game got me really dizzy with the scrolling background. So i wasn't able to complete it. I did get up to 100 points I believe before I get knocked out. It would be cool to make the game speed up progressively to make the difficulty scale. As far as I could tell the speed stayed the same so it made it sort of linear but again I didn't get too far just cause it made me dizzy lol. Nice job on submittting :D

The speed does increase during the runner. As it only constitutes less than 5% of the actual game, I admit I spent very few time on it (like 5 hours), and it surely could be more polished. If the runner makes you too dizzy, I really encourage you to just do it 6 times (even if you die on the first obstacle), to try out the real game. I know I should have made it easier to get to the actual game (like 3-4 tries), but this is the game I spent the 10 days of the jam on, so I'd be really grateful if you could give it a try (and not rate the 5 hours shitty runner, I admit XD). Anyway, thanks for playing !

I grabbed a beer and couldn't put it down... I finished the game before I could even touch the grass because my hands were full... But it's a good idea. Good job!

Developer

As said in game and in the description, you can use "P" to drop objects !

A game full of creativity and personality. It’s definitely worth a try during the jam. For me, it resonates a lot with what we wanted to achieve with our own submission, i really liked the twist, it reminded me the David Fincher plot twists hahah

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot ! I'll make sure to try your game then ;)

Fun concept, the twist is great!

Developer

Thanks ! I just tried BUG today, it's a great game !

The twist is genius, I liked it a lot! I'm very impressed with the implementation of the perspective shifts. I do have a concern with the computer game though, I feel that it was a bit repetitive and could potentially stop someone from reaching the twist. The background also made it a tad bit difficult to see the obstacles.

Other than that, I loved it! That twist still got a laugh out of me because I was getting really frustrated with the game myself, I felt like that twist was made for people like me lol.

Developer

Thank you for your kind review ! Yeah maybe I will reduce the number of tries in the runner, I admit that might be a lot playing it 6 times in a row. It's really made to be a short prologue to the game (like 5 minutes in the ~1 hour gameplay).
Hope you had a good time escaping the house, touching grass, finding Maximus and washing the crime scene !

I have touched grass

Developer (1 edit)

That's neat ! But have you run after Maximus ? Susanne is looking for him !

And what is the meaning and disclosure of the topic?
