Helloo!! (Spoilers warning in here.)
I've been absolutely obsessed with this game after finding it a week and a bit ago, it's absolutely wonderful and I've been shilling it to all of my friends as much as I can, buuuuut right now I think I've accidentally ran into a softlock!
According to what I've heard from friends, I can't complete Episode Z Part 2 and anything following from it due to the holes in the lower part of the Dark Forest being bugged. My only chance to dodge the bug would be reverting back to a different save that I took like 12 hours of playtime earlier, and I really don't want to have to resort to that.
The situation is as thus, in order of chronology:
- Went to look around the bottom of the forest out of curiosity about the log, as I often do. Fell into the right of the two holes with Lasca teleporting me out and the conversation at the lookout etc.
- Went back either the same day or later, unsure, fell into the same hole again and got Lascaported out. Immediately walked back, fell into the hole on the left this time, got Lascaported out. Immediately walked back but in Simone mode, noting the Alouette symbol but curious about what funny thing Simone might quip, only to just... walk right over the hole. The holes have been entirely uninteractable since, even on a date.
- In addition, since I could, I walked over to the log that blocks off anywhere further from this area, and found it still there but glitched, with the transition arrow inaccessible but overlapping the log texture. It's also been this way since.
Not sure how to rectify this without figuring out how to edit my save to remove all my Episode Z progress and trying again, because I really don't want to have to redo a half-days' worth of content. Regardless though, that you SO fucking much for making this game, it's an absolute delight and I'm immensely immensely in love with it and everything about it. Sending infinite amounts of love and support to you and all you work! <3!
(p.s. i also ran into the episode P bug (that i think just got fixed) whilst on the petanqueless route, but dodged anything bad from that by reverting my save, doing the final battle for the first time, then doing episode P on the petanque-having route afterwards. if this wasnt the bug that just got fixed, i can share more details ^-^ <3)
