>i refuse to believe this was your first game

It really is my first game! it's not my first *attempt* at making a game, but it is the first one I've truly completed that wasn't just me following a tutorial!

>wonder if it's possible in a post jam version to have movement sync up with the beats more

I really wanted to do this but was having trouble coming up with ideas that made this work without wrecking the flow state the game is designed to induce. If you have any suggestions on this direction, I'm open to ideas, as this is something I really want to nail down as well!

i wish i had an answer for you - i had been thinking about similar questions before and thought about using midi input as a way of timinig obstacles, but i haven't tried this before, so can't comment on how feasible it is ://
