Hi, I'm the writer of the game, and it's a pleasant surprise to see someone comment on our unpolished work.
For context, we're a team of four high school/college kids taking part in the game dev track of a summer program in Shanghai. The project includes a 24-hour hackathon at the end, so our leader, the publisher of this page, put together a team and this is what we came up with. (kudos to our devs!)
We're all new to game dev and and had a hard time creating it given the timeframe. I'm pretty happy we got something playable, though not quite finished (we had the two endings written out but they were cut short). The flawed mechanisms are definitely something we took notice of during playtesting, but again, the team wasn't able to get everything managed within the hackathon. we'll definitely try to catch up to them later.
Haha! This is already much better than most people's first project, let alone one made within such a short timeframe.
Well, I felt that the game as a whole was too short, but the ending was already quite good! The choice for at the end made me consider the things I experienced while playing the game from start to end so I could 'make the right choice'. In my opinion, the choice between the endings has more weight than the length of the endings. U didn't necessarily have to write a long ending for it to work.
