I've read at least Hiero's Journey, but not recently (but maybe it was in back of mind somewhere?) There are definitely some film references in here as well.
Making a font that looked something like James West's writing was part of what I needed for this. I did too much editing and re-writing, and it would never have happened if I was doing it all handwritten each time.
