The magic barrier makes for a really interesting core idea with a ton of potential that I feel is hampered by the level design and enemy placement. There's nothing that encourages the player to take advantage of looping their projectiles around nor any reason to avoid doing so, at least that's how it feels when the looped projectiles don't just get eaten by walls. It seems like it might have been better suited to a vampire-survivors style open arena rather than a confined dungeon space.

Perhaps looped projectiles could deal more damage, even exponentially gaining that damage over and over making it both rewarding to hit something with a looping projectile and riskier to maintain.

Yeah, I agree in the game there is nothing that encourage to use looping mechanics for player advantage.
I tried to make enemies hard to confront directly and encourage use of "loop" to shoot through walls but I didn't have time to balance this correctly. (and as result made this game too hard)
Thank you for your suggestions. If I will revisit this idea, I will keep them in mind
