Really cool concept, I am finding a love for beat-based games this jam! Especially impressed you got it working in Godot, which I've struggled with getting audio sync perfect in the past with. Congrats, great entry!

we also had a lot of difficulties getting the audio right, and in the end had to give the hit detection a lot of leeway.

maybe @Elaneus can link you the article she used to get it working.
