I like the concept, but I think the changes to the tune should, in general, be more noticeable and the dial control needs a bit more love. Regardless, it's great that some people take the risk to make something as experimental as this. Props to you, mate 🤝
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!
Also, I see most of your games are Windows-only... Could I ask — did you play this on Windows by chance? I'm getting some reports of folks saying they can't hear anything on Windows and it'd be helpful to know whether that's the case for everyone or just some people.
You're welcome ✌
Yep, I played it on Windows (10, to be precise), but I actually was able to listen to the track I was working. Some changes like the flanger, pitch and volume were pretty noticeable; but others, like the ones related to the drums, not so much.
Good luck pin pointing the problem that other players reported 🙌
Haha yep, everything related to the drums is a bit underbaked for the time being. And thanks for the details — that's super helpful.
i wasnt able to hear anything on my windows pc (the fans were very loud for some reason???), but i LOVE this idea!!!
Liked this one. I love how many music (creating) / non traditional game are in this game jam.
Music and melody of the game was great, but still I spend most of my time tweaking audio effects. Also I liked the dreamy atmosphere.
Sadly I wasn't able to ear anything launching the game on windows :( Love the concept though, having to compose in a game. Especially since I see that you linked a synth lib in C# that's so cool. I'll try on my mac to see if I can hear anything.
Ah, thanks for giving it a go! I don't have a Windows machine myself to test it on, though I did do some testing on my Steam Deck and it worked fine there, so I was hoping it'd also work on a real Windows computer.
EDIT: I added a video to the game page to give you and other folks an idea of what the game's like.
