Yep, you nailed the intended game loop. It didn't turn out as fun/engaging as I had envisioned it being but that's gamedev.
You aren't the only person that has had the "only attacking up" issue. Still trying to figure out what's causing it because it's working in my testing. Sorry about the controller not working as well!
There are several enemy types, they just come out on later and later nights. Probably should have sped that one up.
And I am glad you liked that the chest kills you, I thought that was funny.
