Somehow, it reminded me of Narcissu, but I'm not sure if it is that kind of story. Eiter way, the game has artistic feel to it and visuals are really eyecacthing.

Wow, so it is actually inspired by Narcissu! That's awesome! Happy to see people who love that story!
Wouldn't say that my taste is all that amazing thouh. =D
I just chanced upon it many years ago when I was still at school. It made a strong impression! And trough the years I've re read it couple more times and even made one of my friends give it a try. I mainly talking about Narcissu 1. I don't really remember other chapters and not even sure if I read all of them. Maybe I should give them another read at some point.
Exactly, I’ve only played Narcissu 1 so I know exactly what you mean by that. One of the 5 ending is inspired by the game (I really told Tina about the Narcissu 1 story during the development). I also played Narcissu 1 for multiple times and still remember the strong impression (damn, I like the music so much).
It’s really a long time since I first played it. Everything around me literally changed so looking back I feel a strange connection that even after so many years I can recall the feelings and emotions in that old summer time…
Other than that the game is also inspired by 魚類による考古学, pool core and dream core, Deemo, and deep blue (an art concept about the ocean I made several years ago, never released).
We made it quite ambitious so you can see both heavy 3D and 2D arts here. But there’re still a lot that Tina and I both think that can be polished bc we are short on time. After GMTK, the plan is to polish the menu visual (like multiple ppl mentioned about the controls) and Start/End Page, adding more texts (we’re only 2 ppl so no time for it), and enhancing the gameplay.
I’m so happy to see your message 😭 Thank you so much for playing it. You really have a great taste and let’s stay in touch.
Well, I had to google everything you mentioned to get the idea. Had no clue about what pool core or dream core is. Heard about Deemo, but never played it. A bit intrigued by 魚類による考古学 - is it a vocaloid song or are vocaloids just covers for some elusive original that I can't seem to find?
I'm sure you will be able to polish it to become much better, it is just the question of time and commitment. I wish you good luck in this endeavor!
Sure, let's stay in touch. I'll follow you too. =)
