fantastic! best one I've played yet. I'm not sure how to code it out, but it's definitely frustrating when I went all the way around a star and dont get credit for it because the star left the region I circled by the time I finished.

Thank you very much, good feedback too. I'm sure with a little code optimisation for performance we could check old star positions and even make to loop linger a bit for objects that enter the loop while it's still up. Might have a fiddle around with this on the train ride back home today :3.
Good feedback + "Best one I've played yet" = best comment. ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks! I had a bit of a think on it and came up with a way I might go about it - have each star track the angle to the octopus, and if the octopus has been to every angle relative to the star (I.e. circled around it) then it’s captured.
Of course it’s your game and I shall not tell you how to implement it, but that’s how it works in my head haha :)
Thanks for the suggestion, currently I just loop around all of the points in the loop and check that their centre position is on the inside of it. I think the issue is that they can move out of the loop just before you finish making it, and can come into it after. Or are you referring to pushing the enemy "centre point" towards the octo for better capturing? The only issue I can think of with making it easier to capture is that some enemies, like the fish, are better to be left untill there's a big pile of them for a big capture. I had one game where I managed to score 5k+ points in a single loop when I got 3 stars and a bunch of different-sized fish. The other option is to slow enemies a bit so they don't leave the loop as easily.
