Just gave it another try and I think it had nothing to do with the covers. I think the issues was that I had some diffculty with judging if something was still in lick range. The first time I tried to lick a cover it was on the top converbelt just out of reach so I thought you just couldn’t lick it. After playing again I got a better feel for the lick range and struggeled much less. Maybe you could consider adding some range indicator but it’s probably just a skill issue on my end ^^

Yeah the range indicator was definitely something we wanted to try out more. We've tried a version with a raycast-based indicator but it didn't feel pretty good... the tricky part is, the maximum LICK range is dynamic, basically it's a spring physics so the faster you roll your tongue out, the further the range is. That's why we probably need a design that's more creative and unconventional for the range indicator, sadly we didn't get the time to explore it more :")

but yeah, it's mostly a skill issue in the end, you gotta lick harder (just kidding hahaha).
