The UI disappeared at some point (maybe I clicked something?) and I hit refresh at that point I realised I had to wait for all the text to type in again :D Maybe space bar or mouse to skip the text typing effects?
I had some weird stuff like that playing in browser with full screen, hitting escape to exit the menu but then that also exited full screen and the UI was gone. I hit escape to go back to the menu and got all the UI back.
