I didn't understand the game for a LONG time. Then when I upgraded to a planet I understood the mission. The problem was after I understood I ran into some problems:

  • It spawned a huge number of gigantic planets and lagged incredibly hard.
  • My zoom appeared to break

After that I couldn't play anymore. Couple comments though:

  • I wish there was a button for "consume all orbiting objects." A lot of the objects are incredibly small that it's hard to click them.
  • I thought the grapple was to sling around other objects, not pull them to you. Maybe you only orbit larger objects. It could be better communicated in the how-to.
  • More objects should spawn more often. It was way more fun when there were more objects.

All points i agree with. I planned to have collectables but jam limitations. an hook aim is very unforgiving.
I did lots of optimizations like a day worth. but GDScript is not a very fast language too loop over a million objects. I want to do Spatial Hashing to speed it up, not a feasible to thing to do in a 4 days. PC version plays much better than web version tho.
