Very lovely art and I liked the concept, but I agree with the previous comments in that it feels very random what combinations make loops and there doesn't really feel like a consistent pattern.
Yes, better feedback on the selection was intended and would help a lot. But similar to balancing and some bugs, the limited time caught us in the end :D
