That makes sense. Our original purpose was to make it easy to remember: pentagons are for continuous effects, and hexagons are for one-time effects. We didn't expect the jiggling. I think it can be fixed by checking the area of the loop (though we can't fix it now since gmtk jam doesn't allow modifying games during rating stage). Thanks for your feedback!
