A revenge story is always a solid motivator, and this one definitely delivered! The movement felt smooth, and I loved that you could adjust the difficulty. It was a nice touch that gave me more control over how tough the game was. Also, I have to ask, was “Hello? go away” a hell pun? ;)
The gameplay was a lot of fun, and I really appreciated how the game balanced itself with each life, giving you more HP and permanent upgrades to make it easier. The retro art and sound were great too, really fitting the vibe.
The effects, especially the text and particles, were awesome!
However, I did get stuck at the top of the screen during the boss fight, which was a little annoying. Also, the contrast between the environment and the characters could’ve been a bit better. The red character was tough to spot against the red background. Still, overall, really fun and solid!
