Interesting game. I can't say I liked it that much, but that was mostly because the controls were a bit awkward. I feel like you could make a game where the ways that you die allow you to unlock new abilities quite well. The level felt a little cluttered as well.

Also, a point of feedback, try not neglecting sound in a game. I think a single looping music track would have made the repetitive gameplay easier to get through.

I did beat the entire game, though. It felt significantly better to play once I unlocked the double jump. Definitely a good start on this mechanic, and I think you could definitely do it better!

Hi Lily! Thank you so much for the lengthy response! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ Yeah, understandable, it's not the most polished one out here. But at the same time, I only had the weekend to work on it, so I'm happy with how much I managed to finish at least within 48 hours! I didn't have much time to change the placeholder assets in the level, even though I was planning for a silly little sprite character, the one I drew and as you can see in the main screens I was planning on having.

Regarding the level, yeah I ended up haphazardly placing them, because when testing I also noticed the level areas had control issues, so I had to manage on it being playable and short within the time frame. I also was planning on having some music, and a little storyline as well, but I ran out of time on that as well. Thank you for your suggestions though! I'm happy you played it and had a go at it and even managed to finish it off!

Of course! I'm sorry if my review sounded mean - I don't want to discourage you.

No of course not! I really wanted good and critical feedback like you gave me, so I can improve better next time! ( •̀ ω •́ )✧
