Clean and pretty. Now I want to play with a pixel based DAW. Did you make a level creator that acted like a piano roll? Because that would be rad.
It took me 25 loops to get out - I'm guessing that's not great. But I got to listen to more of the fun beats. Idk if it was just my play style, but I kept getting stuck on platforms that were at the beginning when I jumped into the right side to wrap back around.

We essentially made our own level creator by just changing note pitch based off of the height of a block. But, allowing the player to make their own songs/levels would be really cool! Thanks for the idea and the kind words!
The bug you mentioned is definitely one we found, something to do with the block collision pushing you outside of the wall detection zone. Sadly we never got around to properly fixing it. 25 loops is better than me, but Shock9616 (the programmer) averages around 10 lol!
I mean it's not an in-game level creator, but yeah we kinda did make a piano roll. As Toad said the pitch of the notes is based on their y-coordinate in the editor. All the non-drum sounds are just a single sample being pitch shifted by 1 semitone every 8 pixels. Definitely the thing I'm most proud of as the programmer for this game, and it saved me a TON of time when copying the level into the game from GrageBand since I didn't have to manually set the pitch of each note 😅
