This is the only explanation I've found so far on how to do this. I don't get it, could you please elaborate? What do you mean with "light three stones with images"? How do you burn chestnuts in fires, where do I find the fires and the chestnuts? What do you mean with "the castle itself"?
There is a passage in the walkthrough about this, it tells you to light the fires in front of the large stones with the 'images' (i.e., markings). It says "Start by interacting with the giant stone gate in the Forbidden Woods, this will active the fires by the runestones.". I've been unable to find this "giant stone gate" tho....
it's a little weird cuz they put it through a translator. by castle they mean mansion. if you dont know where the mansion is, there's a puzzle in the traveler's path. there are 8 balls hanging from the trees. if you number them from left to right, click them in this order: 7-5-3-1-8-2-4-6. the other stone isn't with the witch exactly but you pass the stone to get to the witch initially. colored-in leaves will fly past periodically, click and drag those into the fire. the third stone is through the first arch in the forbidden woods. put the fireflies between your cursor and the fire and move your cursor close to the fireflies to nudge them into the fire. you cant do any of these things until you've clicked the stone doors first
