я сделал кастомный постер, загрузил свою картинку, повесил и вышел из игры. а когда зашел обратно, на месте постера не было. потом я как 
то заглянул к арералам в домик, и там лежали два постера, с моей картинкой, один у костра другой в домике

Probably a glitch, there is supposed to be two posters at the ariral treehouse but they shouldn't be custom posters. One should spawn next to the fire as you have pictured, it looks like a tattered banner or something, and the other should be on the treehouse, it looks like a male ariral standing on a planet i think.
