Re: #2 The main impetus behind the 0.2 update is that we liked upgrading cards so much, but it basically was irrelevant in the old version because you were going to different rooms. Upgrading something in placebo wouldn't upgrade it in 1000mg, so no one ever thought to build around it.
In 0.2, upgrading the deck is much more of a first class part of the design.
Totally agree with you about the the atmosphere and vibe being off. We're going to be spending a lot of time on getting that right in this next push.
