I only install games from itch through their application being sandboxed to avoid all the malware on itch.  If you install a game through your browser you will eventually infect your PC.  From bad experiences in the past, I learned all the hard lessons of installing games from any site.  You must keep everything sandboxed and have a serious antimalware program running, otherwise your system will be compromised, guaranteed.  In fact your system is probably already compromised and your data is being shared, bit mining is happening using your system resources, trojans are on board, and worms are destroying your system byte by byte, and ransomware will soon appear on your system.
