Firstly, thanks for the rant.  I'll try follow you somehow so I can stay up to date with your other projects.

Secondly, thanks for this "the making of". Had no idea about Rijksmuseum public domain assets.  That is so cool.  I'm now aware all thanks to you.  It's such a gift to hear about your approach and experience in game development.  Personally, I love hearing about your thought process and your design decisions.  I know it takes time and effort, so thank you for taking time out to do this.  I often think about debrief, retrospective, what I could do better.  But it can be exhausting articulating thoughts and crafting the message.  I appreciate you for this "making of".  It's shows your journey and helps me with mine.

I'm happy you found this post useful!

I'm always curious, too, about other dev's through processes and decision-making, so I decided to 'pay it forward' and share my experiences, hoping to inspire or help someone else 😊

I really wish more museal spaces had programs like the Rijksmuseum's, with extensive online catalogues freely open to the public; at the top of my head, the British Museum, Louvre and del Prado have something kinda similar, but are very strict on the allowed uses for their artworks. Alas!
