It'll definitely be fixed by the next update.
The "cry" problem you pointed out is a misunderstanding: there's a difference between "cry" as in "shed tears" and "cry" as in "shout or scream when in distress". Isaac can no longer shed actual tears since becoming a Synthetic, but he can still "cry" in the 2nd sense. We could maybe do something to make this clearer, but we'll see.
Unfortunately, we have no plans to include Undertale-like name reactions like those for the time being. Maybe once the game is finished, we'll see.
