The no brain part was a joke, but I still had a heureka! moment just now when I tried winding up the machine. Thanks for the explanation.

Of course. Because of our planning and lack of experience in making tycoon games, we didn't have much time to expand on our minimum viable product, meaning no time for tutorials. And I feel kind of dirty if I'm going to modify the game after the deadline, so it will have to be like this at least for the remainder of the voting. Again, it isn't your fault if the game is hard to understand/enjoy, that is on us.

Nah, it's fine. You did your best. And that's great. You're still miles ahead of those that didn't even try. There is nothing stopping you from making a post-jam version and making it even better.

That is what game jams are for :) Figuring out what works, and what doesn't. What you need to work on, and what you're good at. Managing time, and working effectively; creating your own workflow
