– Spoiler alert – (Even if the story can be small, deserves to be played blind in my opinion :) )
This game is fantastic!
I really see the effort that you put in the game, I didn’t find bugs or something I would like to be better, the game is great as it is now, in fact, I wanted more story or a longer version haha. Like at the end the assistant says, let’s fight more viruses hahaha.
This has small details that make the game really good, like, the game displays the real date as a PC, the assistant despite being small, you can tell it has personality and presence on screen any time. The little action of throwing it up by clicking it is very fun, the details of covering the search possibilities is good, from the 404 to the little puzzle in the last search. Also the change in the background is a detail that just adds more polish to a game that feels complete and I don’t know, this game is so polished that it’s hard to believe it is done in 9 days, like wow… In some way it makes me a bit speechless for how much I liked hahaha.
One could say, “it’s just minigames” but isn’t just that, like, each minigame isn’t bugged, has good response and have little tricks and small interactions, the sprites for each one, the feedback to the player, details that just add up and makes this game fantastic more when you think in the time limit. All the time the game feels fresh.
The intro in the part where the assistant gets presented is good, I like that, the little sound when appears it’s funny and sets the mood of the character.
I really liked each part of the game where my favorite is the virus minigames, it really feels like WarioWare and I’m happy you mention you take inspiration from it because I like that kind of games made of minigames, it’s too fun! Also the song is too good, like everything fits so well and feels so coherent that I love all this part.
About the endings, I got the good one 1st and the bad one 2nd, I prefer a lot more the 1st one and I laugh at the dialogue that assistant says hahaha, the second one is great in the sense it tricks you to think the app is bugged or the game had an error but it makes a lot of sense it is that way because the virus. Which at that point made me think that this game also could be a great way to say to people, don’t download all the stuff you see on the internet or you will get the bad end haha.
Oh, before I forget, all the extra interactions are great, the poop.mp3 is funny, getting the fire hydrant before the steak, it’s just too good. About the visuals, I love the boiling animations and it’s everywhere, also the filter in the options is good, the music feels relaxing but at the same time like something is going to happen haha. Also the little background you get from the messages and the txt in the folder can be a little interesting or tells a bit more about the character on the PC.
I think I want to end this with, I would like to have my own assistant, it looks funny and it looks like a good PC assistant, this game made me want something real haha, it’s too good, easily 1 of my favorites this game jam!
