Very excited for the next chapter and I am super impressed by your quick progress on this one.

*exasperated noises* Rant incoming I guess- This is the first I'm hearing of the NSFW changes on Itch so I don't know he details yet, but I'm sadly not surprised. I'm getting so sick of the censorship BS especially with how cliche it is at this point. Standard MO is that you draw a following, audience, fanbase (etc...) to your site, then you ban or severely limit NSFW content usually with some comments about advertising or The Children TM.

Edit: just found out it has to do with VISA and Master Card playing morality police- so now I'm angrier. The cards allow payments to PornHub and OnlyFans which have had actual content involving r@pe and the abuse of minors, but the companies are going after fictional adult content instead??? Like I'm pro removing games that are reported for blatantly harmful content or promotion of r@pe, abuse, etc, but blanket bans are always bad. Side note: Obviously PH and OF are sites that need more checks and balances in place, but i'm also kinda glad that people were dumb enough to put proof of their crimes online, because they are easier to catch and prosecute that way.

Okay I'm done now. Sorry about the rant. I live in the US, so it's already a bit of a human rights violation and censorship hell-scape right now. Like it's just some new BS everyday, so I'm enraged that even my fictional worlds are being effected by the global BS now.

It looks like in theory, only blatantly pornographic games with taboo topics should be effected, but we shall see I guess. Once the line of what is "acceptable," has moved, it's easy to keep pushing. Groups that want to censor media will be happy with the win and just push harder for more.

I need a void to scream into.

Censorship always starts the same way - they pick something that is easy to attack because it's morally questionable (there was one game in particular that sparked all this) and you use it to make a sweeping attack that catches a lot of other things that are totally fine.

They ostensibly claim they are "protecting" girls and women - but how many women just had their revenue streams cut off because their games were delisted?

It's all so fake. It's an attempt to control, hidden behind the word "protect."

Always.
