Kidnapping, under the umbrella of the horror genre, sounds like something that would be directly under fire.
And it is most certainly a common, even core, trope of the genre.

I adore horror games, especially psychological horror (which that would likely be included under), worry about the extent to where this will go. And even more so the precedent being set and loose wording allowing for large scope.

Yeah with that in mind, even a game like Resident Evil 7 which contains kidnapping and forced imprisonment would be considered "against the content guidelines".

Saddening and disheartening.
And you know, the thing is they never would have held themselves to these standards when they were younger- they (processors, activists, lobbyists whoever) impose things like this on people when they don't have to deal with the consequences of their actions themselves. Pretty sure there's official Winnie the Pooh games that fall under all those intentionally broad specifications. Imagine that.
