this is so so beautiful!! finished it in one go. the way words convey this story is beautiful, it feels unnerving and sad. especially from the ending.. to get a little glimpse of the acceptance that Lilith deserved and could have, just to instantly destroy everything, the bad past and the future. really sad. really really sad. great work depicting the 'robot' mind.
im a bit puzzled of what scenes with final testing means (kinda lost the track of what comes after what and whether it was even real), but its no biggie. just an opportunity to someday replay it and find a new meaning.

Hi!! This is really sweet, and thank you so much for commenting!! As for your thoughts on the 'final tests':

Earlier in act three, I had established the attraction/fascination Helena feels towards Lilith (with her rewatching the footage of their kiss and also slipping up by humanizing Lilith in her deleted journal entries). So I wanted to escalate Helena's feelings of attraction and also Lilith's feelings of hatred.

While the 'final test' portions are just narrative devices to show Lilith/Helena's feelings shift over a few weeks, I also wanted those scenes to serve as an 'end' to the experiment. Basically by the time Lilith receives affection from Helena, she feels nothing, as she understands this moment is nothing more than another way for Helena to extract data from her project. At the same time, Helena is able to understand that Lilith's feelings of love are truly unconditional. This proves an irrational line of thinking in Lilith, which makes her 'human' and 'real' by Helena's standards. But after this point Helena still continues to view Lilith as a project, which leads to the final confrontation scene. (Which is real!!)

Sorry for the super long response, but I just wanted to explain certain scenes and help them feel less confusing? Even though you said you'd replay the game to find new meaning out of it (that's so sweet by the way), I thought hearing more about my intention could help out...

Anyway, thank you so so much for playing!! So glad you liked it!!

ohh yeahh its clearer to me now! thank you so much!!
